JCRC’s BookMates celebrates at end-of-year Appreciation Event

BookMates, a department of the JCRC of Southern NJ, recently held its end-of-year Appreciation Event. The program thanked all BookMates for an impactful school year. The event honored the BookMates, including local Camden County Police Department and Cherry Hill Police Department officers who read to students in the community. A thank-you was extended to Mayor of Camden Vic Carstarphen for his continued commitment to the program. Sister Cities Girlchoir performed several songs that wowed all those in attendance. Cherry Hill Township Councilwoman Michele Golkow presented a proclamation to Judy Nadell of Townsend Press, lead BookMates sponsor, who along with her husband John Langan, provides incredible support for BookMates that enables it to make such a positive impact on the community.
