Nearly 400 people came out for a special Shabbat service on Oct. 12 to honor Rabbi David M. Weis on his 30th anniversary at Beth Israel in Northfield. The service featured presentations by past President Linda Karp, current President Dr. Shelly Meyers, and the Beth Israel choir. Rabbi Weis also spoke about what the anniversary meant to him.

“On this occasion of my 30th anniversary, I am counting my blessings—my family, my partners in staff at Beth Israel, the leadership who have helped give life and energy to the synagogue we love, and the generations of Beth Israelites who have invited me into their lives and their hearts,” he said. “I cannot imagine a more gratifying and fulfilling life. I am truly blessed.”
