Last month, 54 members of the South Jersey Jewish community embarked on a trip to Israel for Israel’s 70th birthday. The mission was partnered with the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, where participants saw the beauty of Israel, while also learning how our Federation dollars help not just our South Jersey community, but also Jews in Israel.

2. Cindy Yellin, Rabbi Andy Green, Andi Goldman, and Barbara Orlan participated in a Lotem exercise—experiencing life with special needs by working an olive press from a wheelchair. Established in 1993, Lotem is a special needs outdoor park, enabling people with diverse physical and cognitive concerns to navigate and enjoy nature and outdoor play. As Lotem receives grants from the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, members were able to see their JFund dollars at work, enabling the construction of secured classrooms (bomb shelters) on the property. 2.
