JCC and Hadassah offer unique dinner theater event on Oct. 14

Don’t miss out on a fun night of food, fun and making new friends on Sunday, October 14, at 6 p.m., when Shaloma Hadassah and the Margate JCC offer “Mystery, Murder & Mishigas,” an interactive dinner theater program.

“This has never been done in the Shore area,” said Shaloma Hadassah’s Eve Rose, one of the organizers of the event, which is a major fundraiser for Hadassah. “The program is led by four actors from New York City who are absolutely phenomenal,” she added.

Rose said she took part in a dinner theater experience by the same group in Florida and wanted to bring this experience back to the Jewish community here. “I met a lot of new people, I laughed, and the performers were great,” she said.

“A unique and wonderful thing about this event is that it gets everyone talking with other people at their table. Everyone works together to help solve the mystery,” she explained.

The upcoming dinner theater program at the JCC is a whodunnit that takes place at a wedding. To add to the evening’s fun and festivities, twelve participants will be selected to play supporting roles, and all participants are invited to dress as if they are attending the wedding where the who-dunnit takes place, said Rose.

The program, which includes dinner by noted kosher caterer Food-A-Rama, costs $50 per person. For more information on “Mystery, Murder & Mishigas,” or to RSVP, contact the JCC at 609-822-1167, or Hadassah’s Rose at 609-822- 0024. s
