Seashore Gardens holds golf outing July 16 at Blue Heron Pines

Golfers and non-golfers are invited to participate in the Seashore Gardens Foundation Centennial Golf Tournament on Monday, July 16, at Ron Jaworski’s Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, 550 Country Club Drive in Egg Harbor City.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Seashore Gardens Foundation, a nonprofit 501 (c) organization created to provide aid and support for the health care programs and supportive services provided by Seashore Gardens Living Center (SGLC), including Alzheimer’s Outreach Services, according to co-chairs David R. Lieberman and Jason S. Goldstein.

“It’s why we golf,” noted Goldstein. “We’re helping to enrich elder lives by funding ‘dream’ programs such as music, art, pet therapy, cooking and baking, the It’s Never 2 Late ComputerTM or the Summer Sizzlers Youth Program. We’re making dreams come true, and making a difference in the lives of our residents.”

Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. Tee time for golfers is at 1 p.m. Non-golfers are invited to enjoy Painting on the Patio from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. There also will be a Novice Golf Academy at 4 p.m. The dinner and awards ceremony are at 6 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for Closest to the Pin and the Longest Drive, among others. Mercedez Benz of Fort Washington is supplying the car for the Hole in One Contest. There also will be a silent auction.

Admission costs $175 per golfer and includes lunch and dinner. The cost for either Painting on the Patio and dinner or the Novice Golf Academy and dinner is $100. Dinner only is $75.
