Former IDF Lone Soldier speaks at JCC on July 18

David Sussman, a former Lone Soldier in the Israel Defense Force (IDF), was called to duty during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. He almost lost his life in the crosshairs of a Hezbollah attack. That moment was a huge wakeup call for David and led him on a path very different than the one he had taken before.

David will be speaking at the JCC in Margate on Wednesday, July 18, at 7 p.m. as part of the Israel@70 programming series. In the IDF, a lone soldier is one without immediate family in Israel. David now speaks about the true meaning of roots, of family, community and Israel. Listen to his story and be moved by his dedication to this incredible land and the remarkable experiences that helped him become the motivated advocate for Israel that he is today.

This program costs $10 for JCC members and $15 for guests. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the Welcome Center in the JCC Lobby, go to jccatlantic.org, or call Josh Cutler, JCC program director, at 609-822-1167 ext. 138.

Funding for this program has been made possible in part by the Jewish Community Foundation and the Annual Campaign of Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. s
