Kellman Brown, Politz students enjoy annual Blumenfeld Field Day

Now in its 12th consecutive year, the Charles A. and Ethyl Blumenfeld Memorial Field Day took place recently at the Katz JCC under beautiful, sunny skies. Upwards of 50 second and third-graders and their teachers from Kellman Brown Academy and Politz Day School united to enjoy socializing, swimming, and playing fun games, along with pizza and ice cream. Before leaving, each student received a foldable Frisbee as a souvenir gift. The smiles lasted all day! The Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. holds an endowment fund established in 2007 by Ethyl Blumenfeld (of blessed memory) in memory of her beloved husband “Charlie” to provide annual funding for the field day, which is organized by the Katz JCC. Ethyl and Charlie’s son, Alan (pictured), joined in the festivities and encouraged the kids to meet new friends and also remember the importance of being charitable. Children pictured were (from left), Josh Greenberg, Lilah Kutikov, Danny Spector, and Bayla Miller. To read more and to see photos from the day, please visit jcfblog.org.
