He has been volunteering with the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey for the past 10 years. He first served as a member of the Young Adult Division (YAD) Steering Committee. He later became vice chair of the YAD Finance Committee, co-chair of the YAD Outreach Committee, chair of the YAD Campaign Cabinet and Leadership Development Committee, and finally YAD chair. Schwartz said his major goal for this upcoming year is to ensure that the Voice has a viable, long-term digital presence. “We realize that the physical newspapers, while still necessary, are not how most of the younger demographics receive their news. Our Board has had some great conversations surrounding our current digital presence and where we need to go. Based on this, we will be updating our Strategic Plan and developing plans to bring this to fruition.”

The cost to attend dinner, dessert and the Annual Meeting is $40. There is a $10 charge to attend just the Annual Meeting and dessert portion of the evening.
