Programs honoring veterans inaugurated



Retired Air Force Col. Nelson L. Mellitz of Cherry Hill, past state commander of the Jewish War Veterans and currently that organization’s national quartermaster, spoke about “The Current State of the U.S. Military” as part of a series of programs in May at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill. The four May programs will become an annual event underwritten by the Norman and May Brill Memorial Legacy. At the inaugural event were Jewish War Veterans Post 126 officers (from left), Retired Air Force Col. Nelson Mellitz, Commander Selina Kanowitz of Voorhees, Honorary Commander May Brill of Cherry Hill, and Senior Vice Commander Dr. Sam Tilonsky of Cherry Hill.
