Gathered for JWF’s annual meeting were (front row, from left), Sydria Schaffer, past JWF chair; Judy Love; Cindy Yellin, JWF grants chair; Peggy David, JWF chair; Gerri Rudner; and Janine Sobel, founding JWF chair; with (rear, from left), Andi Levin; Judith Platt; Marsha Dollinger; and Sara-ellen Greenberg. Hosted at the home of Peggy David on May 7, members of the Jewish Women’s Foundation (JWF) voted to approve the grant recommendations made by the grants review committee. A total of $28,900 will be awarded to organizations both locally, and in Israel, for programs and services that directly benefit, or are of great importance, to Jewish women and girls.

The members also voted on the slate of officers for the 2018/2019 calendar year. Peggy David will continue as chair, and Cindy Yellin will continue as grants chair. They spoke glowingly of the excellent job Marge Sobel had done this year in recruiting new members. Her position as membership chair will now be assumed by Alison Bell Keim for the 2018/2019 year.
