Kids Triathlon set for JCC on Sunday, June 3

Get ready to swim, bike and run at the JCC’s 14th annual Kids Triathlon on Sunday, June 3 at 1 p.m. This one-of-a-kind event encourages children in the community ages 6-13 to compete in a kid-friendly triathlon in four different age groups: Ages 6-7, ages 8-9, ages 10-11, and ages 12-13. Each group will compete in increasingly longer, kid-friendly lengths of competition.

“This year, we’re excited to expand the JCC Kids Triathlon up to more age groups. The JCC Kids Triathlon is an excellent way for kids to compete in a friendly competition, participate in a heart-healthy activity, and feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment,” said Gene Bonetti, Katz JCC fitness director. “It’s also great to watch all of the enthusiastic family and friends who come out to support the kids and cheer them on throughout the race. The sense of accomplishment felt by the kids as well as their families is such a rewarding one they’ll never forget.”

The Kids Triathlon sells out every year and is limited to 100 participants. Kids must be pre-registered, so be sure to sign up at http://katzjcc.org/fitness-events/.
