Make an impact this Passover for Jews at home and around the world

Jewish Federation CEO

The tastes, smells, and memories of Passover are some of what we hold dearest when we gather around our Seder tables to retell the story of our ancestors’ courage. Passover is not only a time to celebrate with family and friends; it is also a time to reflect on all that that we are grateful for in the world. Each year at my Seder, we discuss what we are grateful for: A new baby being born, a new job opportunity, a new relationship, just being together for the holiday. We take a moment to savor the impact we have on each other and because of each other, and so we further define ourselves and the meaning of family.

I am grateful for this amazing Jewish community we have here in South Jersey. We are surrounded by strong Jewish organizations and an active community that thrives on coming together as one. It takes more than just a large population of Jews to make a vibrant community; it takes engagement—and we have that all around us here.

I am grateful for the connections we’ve built throughout this community and Jewish communities around the world. Through the Jewish Federation family, we are building relationships that bolster and strengthen us as a community and a people. We are stronger together, and together we make an IMPACT.

I am grateful for our Board, our staff, and our volunteers who make the magic happen each and every day. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of the Jewish Federation family of agencies—and none of it would be possible without the dedication and passion shown by these individuals. They are all working toward the greater good together. I am grateful for YOU. As a member of this South Jersey Jewish community, you are an integral part of our own recipe for a strong, healthy, vibrant Jewish community. When you make a gift to the Jewish Federation’s JFund, you add that one extra ingredient that makes an IMPACT on the entire community.

You allow older adults to age in place. You provide counseling for families in crisis. You supply resources and programming for adults and children with special needs. You battle poverty and support at-risk youth in Israel. You strengthen the Jewish community here, in Israel, and in 70 other countries around the world.

This year, when we sing “Dayenu,” share some food, and retell the Passover story of freedom and renewal, please also extend a hand to those in need and help ensure a strong Jewish future for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. Together, we make an IMPACT.

You can make a donation to the Jewish Federation’s JFund online at jewishsouthjersey.org/jfund.

I am so grateful for everything we can provide to Jewish South Jersey and the greater community through the good works of the Jewish Federation family. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and joyous Passover. Todah rabah—thank you—for all YOU do to make an IMPACT with us!
