Children, preteens and teens get ready

Calling all children and teens! Join us for the first ever Junior Community Shark Tank, which provides teens and children ages 18 and under with a variety of different ways to give back to their community. Just like the hit television show, participants will present program ideas to a panel of “Sharks,” which consists of Bar/Bat Mitzvah pre-teens who donate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah money towards funding the winning programs.

Looking to get involved? There are two ways to participate in the Junior Community Shark Tank:

• Be a Shark:

Bar/Bat Mitzvah pre-teens can donate a portion of their Bar/Bat Mitzvah money to become a Shark. The Sharks determine which programming ideas their money will fund.

• Present a Project:

If you have a great program idea that encompasses one of our five Areas of Impact (Older Adults, Special Needs, Community Engagement, Global Connections, and Family & Youth), apply to present the idea before the panel of Sharks for funding!

Programs selected for presentation to the Sharks will appear in front of a live audience during our second Community Shark Tank event on May 1.
