Young Families invited to Tzedakah Party

Join PJ Library in the Jewish Federation’s main lobby from 2-4 p.m. on Super Sunday (January 28) for a Young Families Tzedakah Party! Sure to be an afternoon filled with hands-on fun for the kids. Young children will learn how to give back to the community while enjoying activities, including Kindness Rock decorating, cookie decorating, a photo booth, story time, and a Tzedakah opportunity of their own.

Children are encouraged to bring piggy bank change with them, which they will be able to donate to the JFund as an opportunity to learn the true meaning of “tzedakah,” the act of giving, charity, and kindness.

The Tzedakah Party is free and open to the entire community.

PJ Library, a national program for children ages 0-8, sends children free Jewish books each month. Local PJ Library events for young children and their families are held every few months, usually at a synagogue or the JCC. It is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, made possible through partnerships with local philanthropists and the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey.
