Annual phon-a-thon is on Jan. 28

Mark your calendar for Super Sunday/Week 2018, from January 28-February 1! The Jewish Federation’s annual phon-a-thon brings out more than 300 volunteers each year for a week of fundraising and community engagement. It’s a truly collaborative effort to raise the dollars that ensure the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community right here in South Jersey, in Israel, and in 70 countries around the world.

It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the community came together and raised over $1-million in just one week last year!

Super Sunday 2017 had just two shifts last year—and it was a big success, so we are doing it again in 2018. We’ll have a phone and clerical shift in the morning (9:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) and another one in the evening (4:45-8:00 p.m.). These are traditionally our busiest and most successful shifts, so we’re giving our callers a break again this year in the afternoon.

The fundraising continues during Super Week, January 29-February 1. If you can’t make it out on Super Sunday, join us for a phone or clerical shift during Super Week (6:00-9:00 p.m. each night).

Thank you to our chairs this year: Scott Levine and Scott Raskas. They are both committed Jewish Federation leaders. Scott Levine is a current board member, while Scott Raskas participates in the Federation Leadership Institute (FLI).

This year’s presenting sponsor is M. Rosenblatt Roofing Company. In addition, our event sponsors as of December 20, 2017 were: Sapphire sponsors Apple Physical Therapy, Cooper Bone & Joint Institute & Brian K. Zell, MD LLC, and Elkins Chevrolet; and Emerald sponsors Columbia Bank and Wolf Commercial Real Estate (WCRE).

The Marvin Samson Foundation will once again match any new or increased pledge, doubling the impact of those gifts. Thank you to all of our sponsors and to the Marvin Samson Foundation for their support!

Registration is now open to volunteer. Phones are where we need volunteers the most…each call makes an IMPACT on someone’s life. Learn more and register at jewishsouthjersey.org/supersunday.
