A joyous Festival of Lights experienced through Federation events

The Jewish Federation celebrated the first day of Chanukah with sufganiyot in the lobby for our South Jersey Jewish community. Thank you to Krispy Kreme in Collingswood for providing the delicious treats! Helping to hand out the treats were (top photo), Martha Karasick (left), Jewish Federation director of philanthropy, and Jen Capozzoli, Jewish Federation development officer. Jake Shore (bottom photo) and 40 other children attended PJ Library’s Menorah Making Workshop on Sunday, Dec. 10. Held in partnership with The ARTery Studio, children prepared for Chanukah by creating custom menorahs using found pieces, paint, and candles. Chabad in Medford provided a fun and tasty cookie decorating experience. PJ Library, a national book and Jewish family engagement program, is available to families with children ages six months through 11 years living in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. It is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, made possible through partnerships with local philanthropists and the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. For more information, please contact Iris Snyder, family outreach coordinator, at (856) 751-9500, ext. 1118 or isnyder@jfedsnj.org.
