SGLC offers Alzheimer’s support group Dec. 12

Family members and caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s or dementia often find themselves to be unusually stressed over the early Winter holidays. Dealing with this stress will be a major agenda topic at an upcoming Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting on Tuesday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Seashore Gardens Living Center (SGLC), 22 W. Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway.

The support group will be led by Alysia Price, SGLC’s Administrator and Director of Social Services. This is an opportunity to learn about resources, find strategies for dealing with a loved one with memory loss, and meet others in similar circumstances. The meetings are free to the public and last an hour.

SGLC’s Comfort Care Residence offers a dedicated unit for seniors with memory loss and Alzheimer’s. SGLC also provides Alzheimer’s Outreach Services to community organizations at no charge to the client. For more information contact (609) 404-4848 or go to seashoregardens.org. s
