JCC Camps at Medford welcomes teen travel director

MIKE NOBLE…new teen travel director. MIKE NOBLE…new teen travel director. The JCC Camps at Medford announced the hire of Mike Noble as director of Chaverim, camp’s teen travel program. Noble brings over 30 years of camp experience to the JCC Camps at Medford. He is a lifelong camp kid; he was a camper at Forest Acres Day Camp and Camp Council, and then was also a camper, CIT, counselor, activity leader and evening activities and special events program director at Golden Slipper Day Camp. Noble was a division head and assistant director of Camp Aaron at the JCC Camps at Medford from 2005-2013, a daytime program coordinator and boys head counselor at Golden Slipper from 2014- 2015, and most recently, assistant director at New England Golf and Tennis Camp from 2016-2017.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike to our leadership team for Summer 2018,” said Beth Segal, JCC Camps at Medford director. “His extensive experience working in the camping world and exuberant personality make him a perfect fit for the Chaverim teen travel camp program.”

Noble has many fond memories of the JCC Camps at Medford both as a camper and staff member, which include Color War break, Ruach Week, and the incredible high and low ropes courses.

During the school year, Noble teaches Technology to children in third through fifth grades at Eleanor Rush Elementary School in Cinnaminson, and holds both a Principal and Supervisor Certificate in education. Noble also spend his weekends as an emcee and deejay entertaining at social events. He is from Cherry Hill, and he and his wife Ilisa have three children; Jacob, 16, Paige, 14, and Benjamin, 9.

The JCC Camps at Medford Chaverim Travel program is for teens entering 7th and 8th grades who seek a summer experience filled with adventure and discovery. Chaverim campers grow in independence as they navigate new trips and locations. Both four-week sessions include three weeks of daily trips and one weeklong overnight excursion.
