DR. ALFRED AXELROD, of Cherry Hill, passed away on Oct. 25. Husband of Anita Axelrod. Father of Nancy (James Podheiser) Axelrod and the late Fredric Axelrod. Grandfather of Lucy (Brian) Kratchman, Daniel (Ashley) Podheiser and Amir Podheiser. Great-grandfather of Hannah Kratchman and Duncan Podheiser. Brother of David (Sandra) Axelrod and the late Jay Axelrod. Dr. Axelrod, better known as “Doc” to everyone, was a family medicine physician in Westmont and Camden for over 40 years. After retiring from private practice in 1997, he continued his service to the community as an addiction specialist, serving as Medical Director of a methadone clinic in Camden.
