JCC Social Singles see noted collection

At its August meeting, the Katz JCC Social Singles were treated to numerous examples of Sandy Marrone’s sheet music collection, one of the most extensive private collections in the world. Her oldest example dates back to the late 1700s. She sold “Oh Land of Mine, America,” thought to be composed by George Gershwin, for $10,000. Shown here is Marrone with a World War I example of “OVER THERE” with words and music by George M. Cohan.
