A JCC visit—4,340 miles away

Amy Kaplan, a past Katz JCC president, recently visited the JCC in St. Petersburg, Russia. During her vacation, she and her husband, Dr. Barnard Kaplan, also visited the historic Choral Synagogue in St. Petersburg. The St. Petersburg JCC was built in 2005, and serves the Jewish community of 125,000 with programs for people of all ages. The major source of funding for the St. Petersburg JCC is the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), which is funded by donors to the JFund Annual Campaign.
