MARK L. BELAFSKY, MD, age 78, of Davis, CA, passed away on July 8, 2017. He was born in Woodbridge, NJ and resided in Cherry Hill until 2007. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Chicago Medical School. He was a surgeon in the US Army and served in Vietnam. Dr. Belafsky practiced otolaryngology in Cherry Hill until his retirement in 1998. He was the beloved husband of Betty and father of Caryn Belafsky, MD of Ashland, OR and Peter Belafsky, MD of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by his sister, Sheila Chodosh of Woodbridge, NJ, and brother, Robert Belafsky, MD of Voorhees. He was the proud grandfather of Samantha, Allie, Cooper, Quinn and Celeste. ELAINE KOOPERSTEIN, of Voorhees, passed away on July 4. Wife of the late Robert Kooperstein. Mother of Donna (Mark Harrison) Kooperstein and Marci (Stephen) Adler. JOSEPH M. ORMAN, of Mt. Laurel, passed away on June 29. Husband of Arlene Orman. Father of Alan (Nancy) Orman and Scott Orman. Grandfather of Jared and Samantha. Brother of Steven (Dale) Orman and Susan Kobrin. Brother-in-law of Nelson and Rochelle Tobolsky. Joe was the proud owner for 47 years of Churchill’s Tobacco Shop in Cherry Hill. HARVEY SHAPIRO, 85, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away on June 30. Born in Camden, he was a Cherry Hill resident until the last 12 years. He was a former racehorse owner operating under Outlaw Biker Stables. He was a magazine owner and publisher using the name Casey Exton as his nom de plume and titles included Outlaw Biker and Tatoo Review. Harvey began his career in the magazine business as a marketing director with Hustler magazine, rising to Executive Vice President before striking out on his own. He was the husband of Babs, father of Dr. Adam Shapiro and Sherry Guggenheim, grandfather of Jenny and Joseph. Also survived by brothers Sye and Steven Shapiro, and sister, Sheila Weiss.
