Summer camp for kids is “Down by the Bay”

What will your child do this summer, besides going to the beach? Shirat Hayam in Ventnor’s “Down By the Bay” program offers summer fun for kids of all ages – from age one through 7th grade.

The flexible program will be offered for nine weeks, from June 19 to August 18, with full day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and half day (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) options as well as aftercare (to 4:30 p.m.) Parents can sign children up for one or several weeks at a time, or for the entire nine-week session.

Down by the Bay offers two different programs for kids of different ages: Day Camp for children age one to six, and an Enrichment Program for children in grades one through 7.

The Day Camp for young children will have weekly themes. Activities will include yoga, art, cooking, music, water play and tumbling (with Tumble Wheels), as well as special events such as character lunches, fun with the Atlantic City Aquarium, a petting zoo, and more.

Elementary school children in the Enrichment Program will also do yoga, art, pottery, cooking classes, music, water play and more, as well as take part in special events. There will also be an academic component to help keep kids current with their reading, math and science skills.

Shirat Hayam is located at 700 N. Swarthmore Avenue in Ventnor. For more information on Shirat Hayam’s “Down by the Bay” kids programs, including pricing, contact Robin Swift at (609) 822-7116, extension 120. s
