Shore synagogues will offer many opportunities to celebrate a spiritual Shabbat by the beach this summer. Make sure to wear flipflops and bring your own beach chair. Here is a schedule of upcoming beach services currently scheduled (though more may be added; check the Voice at the Shore calendar or the Community Calendar of the Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties at jewishbytheshore.org for new additions).

• June 16 and 28: – Services hosted by Beth Judah Wildwood (Conservative), led by Rabbi Ron Isaacs, Meet at Booth Ampitheater, 2nd and Ocean Avenues in NorthWildwood, at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 609-522- 7541 or go to Bethjudahtemple.org.

• July 7 and August 4 and 18: Devotion by the Ocean, a musical service hosted by Shirat Hayam (Conservative/Reform), led by various clergy. Meet near the gazebo at the Ventnor Library at 6 p.m. For more information, call (609) 822-7116.

• August 25: Cape May Shabbat by the Water, musical service (Conservative) led by Rabbi Ron Isaacs. Meet on beach across from Montreal Beach Resort, 1025 Beach Avenue, at 6 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, please call in advance to confirm whether the beach service will take place.
