Jen Arey to help local families navigate

JEN AREY JEN AREY The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey is thrilled to have Jen Arey on staff as the Special Needs Navigator for the Jewish Abilities Alliance of South Jersey (JAA). In this position, she works on behalf of special needs individuals of all ages and their families, helping them get the supports and resources they need. It is often confusing and difficult to know what resources are available, let alone how to gain access to them, and Jen makes that process much easier.

As the mother of two children with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis, Jen knows firsthand how exhausting and frustrating this process is and just how important a helping hand can be. Jen is that helping hand, connecting families to area services: Behavior therapy programs; social groups; recreational activities; case managers; state, legal, and educational resources; and so much more.

Many of these resources are listed on the JAA website at www.jewishsouthjersey.org/JAA, along with a special needs community calendar and information for special needs individuals of all ages.

If you are looking for special needs resources or need help navigating the JAA website, you can call the concierge service at the Jewish Federation at (856) 673- 2554 or email JAA@jfedsnj.org. They will put you in contact with Jen, who will provide you with the personal help you need.
