Federation is committed to strengthening community

The Jewish Federation is committed to creating lasting and meaningful ways for Jews to connect and strengthen their Jewish identity. We foster meaningful relationships within the Jewish community and between people of all faiths and cultures to help build a better tomorrow.

For students at area high schools, Federation programming helps put the horrors of the past into context for important lessons to be learned today. A teacher at Williamstown High School shared: “Not only was this a fabulous experience, but it was inspiring to see so many young minds really access a few major themes of Holocaust education: The value of lives and the power of words. The play, “Dear Esther,” sparked awareness and interest in our entire school. What you did for us was something special and meaningful.”

For parents, Federation programming raises awareness that could save a life: “As a parent, the ‘Right in Our Backyard Addiction Awareness’ program opened my eyes. It helped me understand what addiction is, understand the signs and symptoms of opiate abuse, and learn how I can support others who may be struggling with addiction. Above all, it has helped me hold healthy conversations about addiction with my kids and other parents.”

Community engagement programming is just a part of building a strong and vibrant Jewish community. Together, we make an IMPACT.
