Family & youth programs making an IMPACT
The Jewish Federation is committed to providing family and youth services that enrich both the mind and the body. From comprehensive, caring social services to social, cultural, recreational, and educational programming for the whole family— from 6 weeks to 60+ years old.
For someone like Julie (not her real name), Jewish Federation programming helped save a life: “Over the last year, JFCS has helped me to find my voice and create a happy life for me and my child, in the face of an abusive relationship with my ex. With the help of my counselor and the support services of the Project SARAH program, we are safe and moving forward with our lives.”
One early childhood parent recently shared: “My daughter loves her JCC friends and family and the other parents have become a very close-knit group. We’re so happy with the group of friends she’s made at the J—it’s a second home to her and we are so fortunate to have this in our community!”
And, older kids are also finding a home within our Federation family, too. One of our eight-year-old campers at the JCC Camps at Medford would not get in the water last summer. The aquatics staff and instructors were so patient with him and got him into the pool for his lessons. He is now a red cap and told us he can’t wait to swim at camp and do the swim-a-thon. His mom is so excited!
Family and youth programming is just the start of building a strong and vibrant Jewish community. Together, we make an IMPACT. s
