Young adults gearing up for exciting year

The Young Adult Division (YAD) of The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey is an eclectic and passionate group of Jewish men and women who are making a real difference in the community through volunteerism, leadership development, and fundraising.

YAD members represent a cross-section of our community with single and married individuals, ages 25-45, in a variety of professions, including lawyers, doctors, business people, financial services, and educators. Many members of YAD hold leadership positions throughout the community.

YAD raises funds for the Jewish Federation Annual Campaign to support a network of services and programs in Southern New Jersey, Israel, and 58 countries throughout the world. They do so through two major events during the year, the Yad b’Yad Award event and the Daddy-Daughter Dance.

The Yad b’Yad awards honors young volunteer leaders throughout our South Jersey Jewish community and aims to increase the spirit of volunteerism. Synagogues and Jewish organizations in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties nominate individuals with unwavering dedication and commitment to their respective organizations. The event provides a chance for the entire community to celebrate their amazing hard work and accomplishments.

The Daddy-Daughter Dance is a crowd favorite and continues to sell out year after year. Dads and their young daughters join with YAD at the Katz JCC for wonderful day of music, dancing, photo booth, and snacks. The event is held in conjunction with PJ Library, and everyone leaves with a huge a smile!
