Start the year with free Jewish books for kids

With the Labor Day holiday approaching, it’s clear that summer is wrapping up and the new school year is beginning. The PJ Library of Southern New Jersey wants to wish all of the families throughout the community a great school year. We also want to take this moment to remind you that there are several opportunities to get your kids’ education off to a strong start with PJ Library.

Of course, PJ Library is the first chance to show kids the joy of reading. Each month, families with children ages 6 months to 8 years receive books geared towards a specific age that will help you create your own family’s connection to Jewish traditions, holidays, and values.

From ages 9-11, kids can be part of the PJ Our Way program. Here kids choose their own books, creating a totally tailored experience based on their own interests and reading level. The web portal makes it easy for them to decide what story they want to read next. It also includes polls, quizzes, monthly interviews, challenges, videos, and blog posts.

And speaking of PJ Our Way, they are recruiting for their prestigious Design Team. Design Team members have early access to PJ Our Way books and create videos, reviews, blogs and other content for the website. The team meets November through May and the deadline to apply is October 30. Learn more and apply at pjourway.org

Signing up for PJ Library also makes you part of a larger community. PJ Library families come together throughout the year to celebrate the holidays, support the local community, and interact with others at various events. We wish all of you a great school year and hope to welcome you to the PJ Library of Southern New Jersey family.
