Elie Wiesel remembrance to be held at JCC Aug. 9


ELIE WIESEL ELIE WIESEL Elie Wiesel — who survived and witnessed the horrors of the Holocaust — went on to become an internationally renowned author, human rights advocate and Nobel Laureate. To honor the memory of this incredible man, who died July 2, the JCC in Margate will hold an Evening of Remembrance for Elie Wiesel 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 9.

The entire community is invited to this free event, which will feature talks by renowned Holocaust scholar and filmmaker Dr. Michael Berenbaum and biographer Ellen Norman Stern, both of whom have written books about Wiesel’s life and work.

The remembrance event is being presented by the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage and the Sara & Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center, both of which are part of Stockton University.
