Army medic from Six Day War to speak at Margate JCC on Feb. 3
Dr. Itzhak Brook, M.D., a physician who served as an army medic in the Six Day War and a battalion physician during the Yom Kippur War, will talk about his experiences at the JCC in Margate on Wednesday, February 3. The evening will begin with a falafel dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The book describes how he coped with his soldiers’ medical and psychological issues, the daily struggle of survival in the battle zone, Israelis’ resourcefulness during the time of war, and the struggle to preserve one’s humanity in the midst of it all. Dr. Brook is also a cancer survivor.
