Among this year’s competitors are many Jewish community members, including Rabbi David Weis of Congregation Beth Israel, who is leading a team of runners from his synagogue, and 12-year-old Mollie Share, who is about to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Beth Judah and is running in the 5K as part of her Mitzvah project.

Community members looking to take part in pre-race festivities are invited to a spaghetti dinner at Congregation Beth Israel this Saturday starting at 4 p.m. There will also be a walk on the Northfield bike path and Havdalah.
