Installations, award presentations set for Federation Annual Meeting

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey will host its 93rd Annual Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 18. The event will feature the installation of officers and board members as well as the presentation of awards. Vicki Zell will be installed for a second year as Federation president at the event, which will take place on the Weinberg Jewish Community Campus, 1301 Springdale Rd., in Cherry Hill, starting at 6 p.m., with elaborate hors d’oeuvres and dessert served. The community is invited to attend.

This year’s honorees are Donald Love, who will receive Federation’s highest honor, the H. Richard Dollinger Community Service Award; Eric Meller, who will receive the Shellie Greenspun Young Leadership Award; and Deena Sherman, who is this year’s recipient of the Federation Staff Achievement Award. A special recognition will be made to Sherman Silverstein Attorneys at Law for their dedication to the Jewish Federation and its family of agencies.

When asked about the coming year, Zell said, “I look forward to continuing to work with this amazing community to build a stronger Jewish future. By reaching individuals throughout Southern New Jersey and engaging them in Jewish life, Federation serves our role as convener, facilitator, educator, and connector to all within our community.”

Also being installed are the 2015-2016 officers: returning Vice President and President- Elect Glenn Fuhrman, Esq.; returning Vice Presidents Neil Levin, M.D., Brad Molotsky, Esq., and Ivy Brown Rovner; and returning Honorary Vice President Michele Ettinger.

The Jewish Federation welcomes and will install the following new board members for 2015- 2016: Albert ElGrissy, Melissa M. Grossman, Esq., Matthew Podolnick, Esq., Rebecca Sernovitz, Joel Schwartz, and Melissa K. Wayne, Ph.D.
