Federation is proud to participate in the 3rd Annual event Oct. 11

Once again this year, the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey is partnering with our local synagogues for the 3rd Annual Community Mitzvah Day on Sunday, Oct. 11. Community Mitzvah Day is a grassroots effort led by Chair Gail Forman of Temple Emanuel to bring the community together for a day of hands-on good deeds. There are many one-day volunteer projects to choose from—each hosted by a local organization to help community members in need or another local organization.

The Jewish Federation and its family of agencies is participating in: electronic recycling hosted by the Jewish Federation, a blood drive hosted by the Katz JCC, a food collection hosted by Samost JFCS in partnership with Temple Beth Sholom, a book drive for underprivileged children in Camden hosted by PJ Library, and upkeep and maintenance of the Jewish section of the New Camden Cemetery hosted by JCF. The electronic recycling, blood drive, and book drive are all being held at the new Jewish Federation Annex at 1721 Springdale Road.
