TONIGHT—SEPT. 2

Community Forum on Iran Deal featuring Alan Dershowitz & Peter Beinart

The Jewish Community Relations Council, an agency of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, will be hosting a special event, “The Iran Nuclear Deal Community Forum,” tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 2, beginning at 7:15 p.m. at the Jewish Community Campus, 1301 Springdale Rd., in Cherry Hill. The program, in the Katz JCC auditorium, will feature keynote remarks along with an audience question-and-answer session with Alan Dershowitz and Peter Beinart, two of the central commentators surrounding the proposed Iran nuclear deal. The event is being generously underwritten by Gigi & Brad Schwartz and Leon Levy & Associates.

Alan Dershowitz and Peter Beinart have emerged as leading voices on the two sides of the issue, and have worked together in the past to discuss a range of topics affecting U.S.-Israel policy and diplomacy.

Dershowitz is a well-known jurist, author and scholar on Constitutional law. He recently retired from Harvard University Law School. Beinart is an author, associate professor of journalism and political science at City University of New York, and a contributing editor at “The Atlantic.”

“To assist our community in better understanding the technical aspects and theoretical implications of this deal, we are thrilled to be bringing these two highly respected gentlemen to our community to enhance our education and understanding on this incredibly important issue,” said Amy Clayman, JCRC president.

This event is intended to provide a forum so that members of the community can learn more about the proposed deal, ask key questions, and take part in an open and thoughtful discussion with top opinion-shapers on this issue, according to Clayman.

There is still time to register by visiting www.jcrcsnj.org or by calling (856) 751-9500, ext. 1203. General admission tickets are $18 and special reserved seating is available. JCRC Patrons and students will receive complimentary admission. Seating is limited. Walk-ins will be admitted based on availability.
