OBITUARIES

ADELE CARCHMAN, of Cherry Hill, passed away on July 7. Wife of the late Benjamin Davidow and Philip Carchman. Mother of Paul Davidow, Mark (Janet) Davidow, Evan (Renee) Davidow and Scott (Annie) Davidow. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren. DAVID FELDMAN, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on July 8. Husband for 63 years of Sandy. Father of Lyn and the late Lori. Grandfather of four. He is also survived by his sister Judy and brother Arthur. After graduating from Overbrook H.S. in 1949, he worked in home renovations, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. He rented a building and started Medford Plumbing Supply. Later he bought ground and built Medford Plumbing and Orlyn heating, named for his daughters. He was active in the Jewish Geriatric home, a Mason for 50 years, a Shriner, and he drove ill children to the Shrine hospital in Tampa. He was a member of Cong. Beth El as well as a member of Woodcrest Country Club. His philanthropy started with the Jewish Geriatric Home of South Jersey, where he endowed a dining room in memory of his parents. In memory of his daughter, he endowed a library at Lions Gate. Through the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, he endowed Sarah’s Closet for abused women, meals on wheels, and Japco for disadvantaged children (Jewish and foster care options).

LILLIAN FINE, of Voorhees, passed away on July 2. Wife of Dr. Jerould Fine. Mother of Bonnie (Dr. Alan) Kramer, Dr. Howard (Mary) Fine and Lori (Stephen) Jaffe. MARVIN J. FRIEDMAN, of Mt. Laurel, passed away on June 26. Husband for 51 years to Judith Friedman. Father of Deborah (Larry) Nisenson, Eva Brown, and Miriam (Seth) Aronson. Brother of Harold (Barbara) Friedman, M.D., Harvey (Janet) Friedman, M.D., and the late Alice Crass. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. WILLIAM LEVIN, of Cherry Hill, passed away on June 21. Husband of nearly 70 years to Sylvia Smith Levin. Father of Jay (Michele) Levin, Faith (Davy) Goldsmith, Robin (Arthur Herrmann) Levin, and Brian (Margaret) Levin. Grandfather of Eli (Nikki), Carly, Jake, and Maddie Levin, Zachary (Aimee Stahl) and Jesse Herrmann, Katie and Adam Goldsmith, and Sari (Jonathan) Eisenberg. Greatgrandfather of Madison Eisenberg and Savannah Levin. Brother of Joseph (Helene) Levin. Born in Vineland, his passion was family and boating. He fought in the Normandy Invasion during WWII. BETTY (nee Fisher) PLASKY, of Maple Shade, formally of Bridgeton, passed away on July 1. Wife of the late Samuel Plasky. Grandmother of Scott (fiancé Nicole Menschel) Plasky, Lauren (Brian) Dubin, Nadine (Jason) Freedman, Jacleen (Bryan) Pfriender, Jacob (Heidi) Plasky, Jordana (fiancé Jon Walka) Ginsburg, Philip Plasky, Samantha Plasky and Nicole Plasky. Great-grandmother of Samuel and Sloan Freedman and Avery and Shelby Dubin. She was a dedicated employee of the Camden City Board of Education for almost 25 years. DAVID H. TACK, 61, of Dennisville, passed away on June 29. Husband for 30 years of Gina (Romanelli). Father of Dana Helen (Pooker) and David Joseph.
