OBITUARIES

STEPHEN J. BELLITZ, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 21. Father of Samantha Bellitz and Marissa (James Blackwell) Bellitz. Son of Bernard and the late Alice Bellitz. Grandfather of one.

MAYE (nee Weinstein) COOPER, 92, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 18. Wife of the late Philip Cooper. Mother of six, Grandmother of nine and greatgrandmother of five. Contributions can be made to the JCC Senior Citizens Activities Programs, 1301 Springdale. Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.

HARVEY “HY” DENKIN, 81, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 25. Husband of Barbara “Bobbie” Denkin. Father of Daniel (Nancy Lee) Denkin, Mindy Denkin, Edward (Amy) Denkin, Robert Denkin and Nancy (Jeffrey) Shapiro. Grandfather of five. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the JWV Post 126 since 2005. Contributions can be made to the Jewish War Veterans or the Liberty Museum.

ROSE (nee Lynn) FANELLI, of Vineland, died on Jan. 21. Wife of the late Anthony Fanelli. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the owner of Rose’s One Hour Cleaning in Runnemede for 25 years before retiring in 1977.

SAMSON GRADINGER, DDS, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 14. Husband of the late Cecele Gradinger. Father of Dr. Lynne Gradinger Besen and Dr. Jeffrey (Vicki) Gradinger. Grandfather of four and greatgrandfather of two.

DAVID JACOB died on Jan. 21. Husband of Lois (nee Kaminsky). Father of Stuart (Nicole) Jacob and Sheryl (Joel) Friedman. Brother of Florence Farkas. Grandfather of four. Contributions can be made to Adath Emanu-El, 205 Elbo Ln., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.

LUCIE KLANFER, of Voorhees, died on Jan. 20. Wife of the late Maximillian Klanfer. Aunt of Gerri (Achim) Rudoler and many other nieces and nephews. She was an Auschwitz Concentration Camp survivor.

ARTHUR LORBER, of Boca Raton, formerly of Westmont, died on Jan. 15. Husband of the late Joyce (nee Saline) Lorber. Father of Caryn (Dr. Tommy) Sellers, Fran (Dr. Andrew) Gelman and Jane

(Next page) (Michael) Lorber Wolf. Brother of Martin (Shirley) Lorber and Edwin (the late Maxine) Lorber. Grandfather of five and greatgrandfather of three. He was the founder/owner of Lorber Plumbing Supply in Pennsauken. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII serving in France and Germany, where he earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with the 100th Division of the 5th Army. He was a member of the Camden Rotary, the Quaker Tri- State Plumbing Organization and the Haddonfield Tennis Club. He was a former member of Temple Beth Sholom and a former Mason with the Mizpah Lodge.

HERBERT MARK, 93, of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Stratford, died on Jan. 12. Husband for 61 years of Pearl M. (nee Katz). Father of Donald B. (Joyce) Mark and Judy A. Mark. Grandfather of two. Mr. Mark was a graduate of NYU and a chemist in the Phila. Naval Shipyard before retiring in 1989. He was a WWII veteran, member of Temple Beth Sholom, and a volunteer at Mt. Holly Virtua Hospital for over 20 years.

STANLEY NEWBERGER, 64, of Moorestown, died on Jan. 23. Husband of Marjorie Newberger. Father of Shari (Gary) Belitz and Melissa (Adam) Gerber. Brother of Sandra (Marvin) Greenberg. Grandfather of five.

HELEN RENEE B. SCHWARTZ, of Voorhees, died on Jan. 16. Wife of the late Joseph Schwartz. Mother of Alix (Karen) Schwartz, David (Adyta) Schwartz and Raymond Schwartz.

MARDECHAI “MARTY” STEINBERG, of Marlton, died on Jan. 19. Husband of the late Tova Steinberg. Father of Ori (Maya) Steinberg and Dr. Roy (Tami) Steinberg. Grandfather of three.
