ESTHER (nee Paroly) FREEDMAN, of Mt. Laurel, died on Jan. 25. Wife of Boyd Freedman. Mother of Rabbi Alan (Lori) Freedman, Sandra (Jack) Piccininni and Debra (Robert) Gates. Sister of Mark (Susan) Paroly. Grandmother of 10. She was a member of Cong. Beth Tikvah, was a volunteer for Jewish Family and Children’s Service and a mentor for Autism Speaks. MARION (nee Supnick) GROSS, 81, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 23. Wife for 60 years of Murray Gross. Mother of Richard (Debbie) Gross and Jack (Evelyn) Gross. Sister of Evelyn (Jay) Bradin. Grandmother of three.
JAY A. OLANS, of Marlton, died on Jan. 25. Husband of Gail (nee Bernstein) Olans. Father of Melissa (Steven) Antinoff and Matthew Olans. Grandfather of two .
MAX PASTERNACK, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 19. Husband of Shirley Pasternack. Father of Paul (Catherine) Pasternack and Shelly Pasternack. Grandfather of three and great-grandfather of one. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in WWII.
NORMAN PECK, of Tamarac, FL and Mt. Laurel, died on Jan. 23. Husband for 62 years of Audrey (nee Johnson) Peck. Father of Diane Peck (Ralph) Dressler and David James Peck. Grandfather of four. Mr. Peck served in the Navy during WWII as a pharmacist’s mate and then became an ensign. Afterwards, he attended Brooklyn College and began teaching science and rose to being a principal in Brownville, Brooklyn. Norman was active in B’nai B’rith and the Retired School Supervisors Organization. He was trained to interview Holocaust survivors and to facilitate at Holocaust Awareness Days.
DR. HERBERT SPELLMAN, of Cherry Hill, died on Jan. 26. Husband of the late Merle Spellman. Father of Mimi (Mark) Cherry, Marcia (Jay) Golde and Dr. Frances (Stephen) Thomas.
