Comedienne Dena Blizzard headlines Federation’s Women’s Gala
1. Greeting the Gala’s featured entertainer, Comedienne Dena Blizzard, (center) were (from left), Brandi Seltzer, vice chair; Debbie Ravitz, chair; Anat Cohen, chair; and Shari Shapiro, vice chair. Over 200 women gathered at Temple Beth Sholom on May 5 for the Women’s Gala, a multi-generational event sponsored by the Jewish Federation. Comedienne Dena Blizzard entertained the attendees, who also heard presentations by Holocaust Survivor Ann Strauss and Gail Norry, National Women’s Philanthropy chair. Gala participants contributed $297,369 to the Federation 2011 Annual Campaign. Twenty-three women made first time gifts to the campaign at this event.

4. A Fisherman’s Raffle for fabulous gift baskets was held, as well as a drawing for a beautiful Charles Krypell citrine and diamond pendant, generously provided by Serago Roberts Jewelers in Northfield, NJ. Mindy Rovinsky (left), representing Serago Roberts Jewelers, presented the pendant to the lucky winner Carolyn Sonstein.
