JCRC & Israel Bonds to present Israel Unity Award to Bill Sutter

Christians determined to help Europe’s beleaguered Jewish population, The Friends of Israel is well known in evangelical circles for its support for Israel and opposition to anti-Jewish doctrines and activities. The organization is headquartered in Deptford.

Active in both Christian and Jewish circles, Sutter lectures about radical Islam’s threat to Judaism and Christianity and is an advocate of the growing Jewish-Christian alliance in America. He is a past recipient of the JCRC of Southern New Jersey Israel Solidarity Award in appreciation for his strong support of Israel and close working relationship with the Jewish community.

Funds raised at the event will go to support the JCRC “Friends of Israel” Community Philanthropic Fund. Contributions to the fund will help support community programs, leadership training and advocacy workshops in the South Jersey area aimed at countering the continuing domestic and international efforts to delegitimize Israel.

The program will feature remarks from guest speaker Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum. The Forum’s mission is to promote American interests in the Middle East and protect America from Middle Eastern threats.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Katz JCC. The program is being chaired by Executive Vice President of Friends of Israel Dr. Jim Showers along with Susan & Dennis Lorell. The Lorells first met Sutter while taking part in an interfaith mission co-sponsored by Jewish Community Relations Council and Friends of Israel.
