Community rallies to help Haiti


Individuals, synagogues and organizations from throughout the community have rallied to relieve the suffering in Haiti. Nina Liloia, a fourth grader in Temple Emanuel’s religious school, presented money from her personal savings to Rabbi Geri Newburge for the Haitian Relief effort. As of press time, Temple Emanuel members had donated over $5,000 toward the Union for Reform Judaism’s Haiti Relief Fund.
