Israeli soldiers in concert

By MIKE STAFF JCF marketing manager

The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is bringing its fun-filled, family-friendly show to South Jersey for the first time. Every year, the FIDF, which supports the wellbeing of Israel’s soldiers, hosts a traveling musical ensemble performing popular and traditional Israeli songs in celebration of the State of Israel.

The Jewish Community Foundation will host this musical ensemble at the Katz JCC on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The show will give families a taste of Israeli music, culture, and tradition, and will be an exciting way to celebrate the sixth night of Chanukah. Special Chanukah treats and FIDF products will also be on sale before and after the program.

Local philanthropist and event sponsor Steve Beilowitz, who helped initiate the planning of this concert, said, “This event will be a great opportunity for community members of all ages to meet the true future of Israel—the young IDF soldiers.”

Individual tickets, family tickets, and sponsorship packages are available. Prior to the show, there will be an exclusive VIP reception in the Sanders Board Room for sponsors of $250 or more to attend, and will feature light dinner and refreshments, a chance to meet at least one of the performing soldiers, and a gift from the FIDF.

Proceeds from the show will benefit both the FIDF and the JCF and guests of all ages are welcome to attend.
