Community observes Kristallnacht

Southern New Jersey commemorated Kristallnacht. The event, sponsored by the JCRC’s Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center, was held in conjunction with the Blank Rome Festival of Arts, Books and Culture at the Katz JCC. It featured Rafael Medoff, author of “Blowing the Whistle on Genocide: Josiah E. DuBois, Jr. and the Struggle for a U.S Response to the Holocaust,” which tells the story of an unsung hero of the Holocaust. Gathered at the event were (from left), Rick Goldstein, Kristallnacht event chair and JCRC board member; Rafael Medoff; Bernice Glazier, chair of the Josiah DuBois Scholarship Committee; and George DuBois, nephew of Josiah DuBois.
