Interfaith service to feature ‘twinning’ of synagogue, mosque
      Burlington County will hold its 7th Annual Thanksgiving Eve Interfaith Service on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. Services will be followed by a social hour. The event will be hosted by Adath Emanu-El, 205 Elbo Ln. at Hainesport-Mt. Laurel Road, and will feature the “twinning” of a synagogue and mosque.

Israeli soldiers in concert
      The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is bringing its fun-filled, family-friendly show to South Jersey for the first time. Every year, the FIDF, which supports the wellbeing of Israel’s soldiers, hosts a traveling musical ensemble performing popular and traditional Israeli songs in celebration of the State of Israel.

JFCS helps local students on Disability Mentoring Day
      The Special Needs Dept. at Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS), an agency of the Jewish Federation, helped 91 special needs students from nine area high schools visit local businesses as part of National Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) on Oct. 21. Students heard presentations, took tours and shadowed employee hosts to see how they performed their jobs.

      Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service is seeking donations of gift cards to toy stores and other big box stores in order to be able to provide children’s holiday gifts for families in need. JFCS social workers will distribute the gift cards.
