     Television personality Terry Ruggles was featured at the recent JGH Auxiliary at Lions Gate paid-up membership luncheon. Joining Ruggles was Adrienne Seligman, an Auxiliary co-president. For 37 years, the Auxiliary has provided special support for local seniors.

      The 2010 Jewish Federation Major Gifts Reception was recently held at the home of Gail and Bill Shane. Fifty people attended the event honoring men and women in the community who contribute at the highest levels to the Jewish Federation Annual Campaign, special campaigns and/or Federation’s agencies.

      Larry Brown will receive the People’s Choice Award at the Katz JCC Sports Award Dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The event will feature Keynote Speaker Donovan McNabb, dinner, a sports memorabilia auction, and a tribute to honorees.

Appel Gallery seeking photos
      The Appel Art Gallery at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill is accepting submissions for a juried exhibit, “Jewish Life in Southern New Jersey.” Local amateur and professional photographers may apply. Winning photographs will become part of a semi-permanent exhibit in the Appel Art Gallery with a kick-off reception in May 2010.

Women’s League sets mini-drama
      The Mid-Atlantic Region of Women’s League for Conservative Judaism will feature the mini-drama, “Naughty Girl, Good Girl: Two Rebeccas of Philadelphia,” on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Cong. Beth El, Voorhees. Meryl Levy- Kryza will enact a story about two well-known Jewish women, Rebecca Gratz and Rebecca Franks, of the 18th and early 19th century.

      The Jewish Community Foundation, Inc., has announced that it will be accepting applications for its fall grants cycle until 5 p.m. on Dec. 11. Federation agencies, synagogues, and other nonprofit organizations in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties are eligible to apply.
