Rudner book 'Fake Birthday' at ABC Festival

GERRI RUDNER…local author's book was an award finalist. Cherry Hill author Gerri Rudner's book "The Fake Birthday" will be on sale at The Blank Rome Festival of Arts, Books and Culture of the Katz JCC, beginning Saturday, Nov. 7 and running through Sunday Nov. 15.

"The Fake Birthday" tells the story of Jodi Milner, who is eagerly awaiting her 13th birthday. A series of events leads her discover the truth about her birthday. This turning point is the catalyst for adventure.

Rudner, sports columnist and freelance writer for the Voice, authored the book with Suzan Jaffe. The book was named a finalist in the Young Adult Fiction category of the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. .
