At the end of their day of fun, students from the Politz and Kellman Brown schools received water bottles from Jewish Community Foundation donor Ethyl Blumenfeld (right) and JCF Executive Director Jeff Klein (second from right). A rainy day didn't dampen the spirits of 120 second through fifth graders from Kellman Brown Academy and Politz Day School. Students from the two local schools enjoyed a day at the Katz JCC courtesy of The Charles A. Blumenfeld Memorial Endowment Fund, established with the Jewish Community Foundation (JCF).

JCF donor Ethyl Blumenfeld initiated the fund in memory of her husband in order to provide children with a morning of fun, socializing, and exercise at the JCC. The fund has been in operation since 2007 and will continue to provide the experience for children for many years to come.

This year, students from the two schools were able to socialize and exercise in the Katz JCC's indoor pools and the new XRKADE, as well as enjoy an educational discussion about water consumption in Israel. The morning's activities were topped off with a pizza lunch. .
