Sister of Sandy Schurr. Grandmother of six and great-grandmother of one. ANNA (nee Schlager) LISS, of Phila., died on May 19. Wife of the late Samuel Liss. Mother of Marvin (Toby) Liss and Herbert (Roseann) Liss. Sister of Martin (Evelyn) Schlager. Grandmother of four, great-grandmother of seven and great-great-grandmother of one. Aunt to many. MARY (nee Goldberg) MAGAZINER, 83, of Cherry Hill, died on May 17 after a prolonged illness from complications of a stroke. Wife for 58 years to the late Irvin Magaziner, owner of Woodcrest Pharmacy. Mother of Badiene, Joel, Steven, Dr. Allan and Howard. Grandmother of 12. Sister of Alec, Max and Leon. Ms. Magaziner was an accomplished artist having received a scholarship to the Moore College of Art at age 18. She founded My Sister's Place, a specialty gift shop in Phila. and Mrs. Emms's All Natural Health Food Stores. She was instrumental in obtaining the release of many Soviet Jews, including Knesset member, Natan Shransky. Mother of Sandra (Dr. Merrill) Cohen, Arthur (Gail) Marks, D.O. and Earl (Katherine) Marks, C.F.P. Grandmother of two and great-grandmother of two. Dorothy graduated from West Phila. High School and was awarded a full scholarship to Bryn Mawr College although she was never able to attend due to the death of her father and the Great Depression. While raising her children, she worked with her husband, a pharmacist, in his three pharmacies. She was a good ballroom dancer and was a long time member of the Cherry Hill Maturity Club and the Oasis Club of the JCC. After Jack's death, she was married for 16 years to Richard Brylinski until 2007. CARL ROTHMAN, of Voorhees, and formerly of Springfield, PA, died on May 12. Husband of Evelyn (nee Kimerling) Rothman. Father of Dr. Harvey (Sheryl) Rothman and Peter (Amy) Rothman. Grandfather of four and greatgrandfather of one. LEONARD SALUCK, of Cherry Hill and Boca Raton, FL, died on May 20. Husband of Sandi (nee Goldblum) Saluck. Father of Dr. Jeffrey (Lisa) Saluck, Dr. Kevin (Ava) Saluck and Dr. Shari Saluck. Grandfather of three. FRANCES (nee Greenwald) SANDERS, of Cherry Hill, died on May 11. Wife of the late Joseph Sanders. Mother of Harris (Karen) Sanders and Karen (Richard) Lieberman. Sister of Hyman Greenwald. Grandmother of five and greatgrandmother of three. BENJAMIN SOLOF, of Voorhees, died on May 14. Husband of Betty (nee Weinstein) Solof. Father of Eileen (Mark) Stefanowics, Shelley (Richard) Kaplan and Mark (Sabrina Hague) Solof. Grandfather of six and greatgrandfather of two.
