Netanyahu: 'United Jerusalem is capital'
JERUSALEM
      Israeli leaders vowed that all of Jerusalem would remain Israel's undivided capital amid protests by eastern Jerusalem Arabs and their supporters. "United Jerusalem is Israel's capital" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a state ceremony at Ammunition Hill to mark Jerusalem Day, which celebrates the reunification of the city in 1967.

U.S. Jews boosting Arab employment in Israel
      JTA RAMLE, Israel—A group of American Jewish philanthropists crowd into a classroom to watch Iman Abu Zaid, a young Arab teacher, give a lesson to her class of Jewish fourthgraders. "You and I can change the world," she sings to the students in Hebrew, sounding the lyrics of a popular Israeli song. The students serenade the lyrics back in Arabic.

      Bill would make Israel denial crime A bill that would require a oneyear prison sentence for anyone speaking against Israel's existence as a Jewish state passed a first reading. The bill, proposed by Jewish Home Party lawmaker Zevulun Orlev, advanced by a vote of 47-34, with one abstention. Knesset members had a heated discussion on the bill before and after the vote.

Rabbis urge soldiers to disobey orders
CONTROVERSY…
      A group of rabbis called on Israeli soldiers and police to refuse orders to evacuate West Bank outposts. The rabbis met in the synagogue at the Givat Asaf outpost near Beit El, which is slated for evacuation, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak signed a plan that would end in the evacuation of 26 outposts by the end of June.
