Sustainable Cherry Hill will screen "Renewal" at the Cherry Hill Public Library on Tuesday evening, Mar. 31. The awardwinning documentary spotlights a variety of faith communities' efforts to protect the environment and save the planet from climate change.

From Evangelical Christians battling the coal-mining practice of mountaintop removal to Muslims in support of sustainable farming to Jews helping children experience the bond between nature and spirituality, "Renewal" shows the impact that religious groups can have on the global drive toward sustainability.

"Showing this truly inspirational work is a great way to get a meaningful conversation started with our local interfaith community," said Lori Braunstein, executive director of Sustainable Cherry Hill. "We hope to use this event as a starting point for empowering our many religious congregations to take part in the growing movement to protect the planet, foster a dialogue on environmental stewardship, and establish a way of life that exists in harmony with the earth rather than destroying it."

The film screening is free, but registration is required.
